Accreditation

The Upper Valley Waldorf School is accredited by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

AWSNA is a recognized accrediting agency of The International Council Advancing Independent School Accreditation (ICAISA) and the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA), authorized to accredit Waldorf schools. AWSNA works with fourteen other leading regional accrediting agencies to offer joint accreditation for member schools.

NEASC is a nationally recognized, non-governmental agency whose affiliated institutions include elementary schools through colleges and universities. Accreditation of an institution by NEASC indicates that the school meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of schools by means of periodic peer reviews. An accredited school is one which “has available the necessary resources to achieve its stated purposes through appropriate educational programs, is substantially doing so, and gives reasonable evidence that it will continue to do so in the future.”
