A Culture of Giving
The Upper Valley Waldorf School, like most independent schools, relies upon a combination of tuition and philanthropy to support its operational costs. Approximately 19% of the budget is comprised of generous contributions by parents and UVWS friends.
At UVWS, we cultivate a culture of giving that focuses on participation and inclusion rather than simple dollar goals. All families are encouraged to make a contribution at a level that is meaningful for them.
What You Should Know about Giving to UVWS
- Participation is more important than the dollar amount. Gifts of any level are welcome and appreciated.
- You can make a pledge and pay over time.
- Making a charitable gift has no effect on financial aid status. Contributions to the school and financial aid are completely separate from one another.
- UVWS is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization; therefore, contributions are tax-deductible.
